Please help. Dayton house / Broadway at the Beach

How hard is it to find parking at Broadway at the Beach ???

I will be at Myrtle Beach starting June 13 through the 16th. I currently have reservations booked at *Long Bay Resort*.

I was looking at the map and realized it is a LONG way from Broadway at the Beach...right ???? Is it ??

So, Dayton House appears to be much closer---is it in walking distance / shuttle offered ?? Is Dayton House Resort a nice place for families ????

I have a 4 year old and we plan on spending most of our time in the pool / at the attractions on broadway. So what is my better bet ? Long Bay or Dayton House. Long Bay looks nice as far as the big pool area.

Also, how are the seasonal fireworks ??? TIA for any advice you can give me !!!!!!!!!!

Dayton House is closer but niether are within walking distance. I would pick the resort you like best because even if you stay at Long Bay Resort it is only about 15-20 min from Broadway. They have hotels on site at Broadway At The Beach but I would rather stay on the beach and drive to Broadway.

If you stay at Long Bay just take 17 by-pass to Broadway at the Beach, it%26#39;s faster.

Fireworks ever Tuesday night at B.A.T.B.

Try the Japanese Steak House, it%26#39;s really good.

There is plenty of parking there so don%26#39;t worry about that.

You are going to love Long Bay Resort, I know someone who stayed there and they loved everything about it. As far as parking there is lots of it and there is a small playground at Broadway that my little guy loves and near the golf place they have a ';magic'; fountain, my kids love this too, just bring an extra set of clothes and towel just in case they decide they want to run thru it. You made a great choice and have a safe trip. You will have so much fun in South Carolina., 3 months to go for us and we can not wait.

I have never been to fire works at BATB, does it get extremely crowded? Where should we stand? or doesn%26#39;t it matter? What time? I have been there countless times and never stayed for the fire works, the kids and grandparents will enjoy this. Also do you sit on chairs at the Japenese restaurant, someone told me you sit on the floor (traditional) which is fine expect we have a handicapped traveler with us and that would be impossible. Thank you for any help.

The fire works start around 10:00 and they are launched from the lake on the East end. Most people stand on the bridges to watch them and if you time it right you can get a bench to sit on and watch them across from the mini golf over by Ripleys Aquirium. I%26#39;ve even seen people watching them from the decks on the back of some of the restaurants on the South side.

They have tables at the Japanese Steak House and the chefs put on quite a show. The menu is pretty limited but the prices are reasonable and it seems like you can never eat everything. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time or you won%26#39;t get in. We have made ours aready and we wont be going until late June. We always make them for Tuesday night and then just walk around after dinner waiting for the fireworks. You can make them on line and they send you a conformation to your email account. You can also look at the menu and prices from their web site.

Thanks for all the information. You are so helpful and I appreciate it very much.

Your welcome mom4boys...LOL

By the way I saw one of your other posts. Have you ever tried the patch that goes behind you ear for that car sickness. I use dramamine to they really help but I%26#39;ve heard the patch is even better. They say that the sick feeling is a balance thing that has to do with your ears, so I guess the patch puts the medicine right where it need to go. I think the dramamine just makes your stomach numb.
