VRBO question

Hello there,

I am just about to rent a condo through vrbo. Has anyone ever had any problems? Anyone ever been scammed? This is my first time dealing with the owner directly. Any tips for me? Thank you very much!!

VRBO question

We%26#39;ve used VRBO several times for vacation rentals all over the country. We have friends who have used it too. We%26#39;ve all never had any problems, the owners have all been great to work with, and the properties have been as described. We are even considering dropping the management /rental company that manages our beach house at Holden Beach, and do it ourselves through VBRO. (Rental companies fees are just getting ridiculous, plus the extra charges for everything. Example: charging the homeowner $35.00 to come change a lightbulb!)

As with anything like this, I make sure I have everything in writing: what%26#39;s expected to be at the rental?; what%26#39;s expected of you?; what you should bring?; what their hurricane evacuation policy is? (if manditory evac. do you get your money back?); if there is anyone locally who will assist you if there are any problems?; what condition are you to leave the property?, (do you clean or is there a cleaning crew?) etc.

VRBO question

I have used VRBO to rent vacation condos. It has worked out great every time. If the condo you are looking at has a guest book read the reviews. That really helped me to decide on the place we found last May.
