For basically the same accomodations, how much additional would you spend to stay in central Myrtle Beach vs North Myrtle Beach? I have found what is essentially the same lodging in both places and its about $250 more in Myrtle Beach. Is it worth it?
I realize it%26#39;s a personal decision, but just trying to judge the value of the different locations from others experiences. For background, we are a famioly of 5 (2A, 16D, 9D, 9S).
All thoughts appreciated......
Thanks, Paul
Comparing Myrthe Beach to North Myrtle Beach
North Myrtle Beach is more family oriented. Myrtle Beach especially by the Pavillion is more crowded and lively.
Comparing Myrthe Beach to North Myrtle Beach
hey Paul...
well my opinion.. its depends on how old you are. When in my teens and early 20%26#39;s I wanted to stay IN MB..but now that I have a child..and a family... I want to stay AWAY from MB. Downtown MB is a little... hmmm.. not sure of the word I want to use here... not family oriented. I mean come on... some of those shops right by the main pavillion display some graghic things. I would suggest staying in North Myrtle or even Garden City. NM seems to be growing a bit more as far as family stuff. I honestly thought you were going to compare that the NM was 250 more...
But.. it depends on your kids..and how much teenage ';gawking'; and excuse my lack of a better visual.. chest flashing you can take.
Hope this helps....
Thank you both for your comments.....
Like I said, I have a daughter 16, and boy/girl twins, age 9. I do like the idea of not having to watch out for everything my kids see. On the other hand, I suspect I will be ';downtown'; for a few of the days we are there anyway.
Sounds like I should save the extra cost of staying downtown and go spend it on a few good meals instead. Less to explain and more to eat! Works for me!
Thanks!
Stay at North Mrytle Beach. no question there!
I would stay at North Myrtle because like some people say that it is a relaxing place but on the other hand you are only seconds away from the excitement. Well I hope you have fun and when are you going?
Thanks for everyone%26#39;s comments. We will be there late August!
