I%26#39;m planning to go to myrtle with my boyfriend for 3 days in May. I%26#39;m looking for a hotel/resort that is:
1. well-kept
2. has some amenities (pools, lazy pools)
3. has a nice ocean view
4. convenient
5. close to the beach and where most actions are.
Our budget is approximately $80-120/night and we don%26#39;t really need a kitchenette. I%26#39;ve been looking at all sorts of resorts, almost every single one on them listed on tripadvisor, but it%26#39;s been so hard to shorten my list of hotels.
If you know anything about the hotels below, please help me out~ Any comments or advice is appreciated. Thanks a lot!!
1. Ocean Reef Resort (reasonable price, pretty good reviews)
2. Compass Cove (which building is a better choice?)
3. Avista (new resort)
4. Camelot by the sea
5. Coral Beach Resort
6. Sandy Beach Resort
7. Long Bay Resort
8. Baywatch Resort
9. Atlantica
HELP!! Advice on hotels
MOst of the ones you listed are far from the action. The only 2 that are where the action is Coral Beach resort or Sandy Beach resort. If you stay at coral you might not have to leave the resort much their poolside bar has live entertaiment all day long. The rest of them you will have to drive.I think Atlantica is by the action but I do not know much about it.I am sure others will help you out with this.Have a Great trip.
HELP!! Advice on hotels
Thanks so much for your help. Hopefully the other ones aren%26#39;t too far...a short drive will do fine. :) Regardless of the distance, is there one or even a few that u%26#39;ll recommend?
Check out the New Roxanne Towers.... It meets all 5 of your criteria. Here is a link to the website. They aree running a 20% discount off of a 3 night stay through May 13th (except weekends)
http://www.theroxanne.com/
Regarding the 20% discount at the Roxanne, it does include weekends also until 5/13/05. I know, because we are booked there during that time period and received the discount for all 7 nights, including weekends.
Tradermanny and Pianolady: Thank you so much for your suggestion! I visited the website of Roxanne Towers, and I found thei rooms to be slightly pricey. It%26#39;ll cost $283 for two nights. Do you think you have any suggestions of hotels that%26#39;ll cost no more than $200 for two nights?
Thanks!
Thanks Pianolady - Please post a review of the new roxanne towers when you return.
pinktyke, the new roxanne towers has a studio avaialble for $109 through May 13th and then $119 after throught May 14th-may 31st. This is close to your budget for a direct oceanfront room. Can you tell us when it May you are going and will you be staying during the week or on the weekend?
tradermanny, I will be sure to post my review when we return. Sure hope that the weather conditions are better than what they sound like they are going to be this weekend. Sounds like most of the east coast is going to have deal with a cold front moving in. pinktyke, I%26#39;m not sure exactly when you are going, but I tried to book a studio at the new Roxanne Towers from 5/5/05 - 5/12/05 and none were available, only 1 bedroom oceanfront suites. But it doesn%26#39;t hurt to call, someone may have cancelled or else you may be going different dates from what I was inquiring about. Good luck with your travel plans whatever you decide.
I%26#39;m planning to check in on May 7, and check out May 9.
Thanks!
