I have a temporary reservation at the Landmark Resort. Oceanfront Executive Suite.. 2 DBL, a murphy bed and a sofa bed w/ a kitchen for $157.50 a night.
I have read some good reviews and some horrible reviews.
Other than little annoying stuff like slow elevators, is Landmark all that bad? Some people say staff is great, others say horrible.
Some love the pool complex, others say dirty?
ect..
I have considered other hotels, but I have 2 older teenagers and it would be more convenient to be in south MB rather than stay in North.. like at the Avista (which I hear is very nice). But, too far fron the action.
The price seems reasonable for oceanfront room with kitchen, separate bedroom.
Has anyone stayed in the type of room I have reserved at Landmark? Are the rooms old or renovated??
I am confused.. can anyone help?
Thanks so much!
Does anyone like the Landmark Resort??

I actually just made reservations there for mid-june. I have stayed there a couple of times and have not had any problems. The story about the elevators is true. They are slow but come on, is that any reason not to stay there. The pools are fine and the rooms are fine as well. I wouldn%26#39;t worry to much. I have stayed in a wide range of hotels over the years and I would say this one falls in the middle. Not the Westin or Renaissance but not the Super 8 either although I have been in some nice ones. Hope this helps.
You can now go the the Avista Resort web site at www.avistaresort.com and see 360 degree tours of the suites. We have reservations for this summer and hope everything will be ready.
