Breakers, North Tower?

After doing some reading here, I%26#39;ve noticed that the Breakers Resort seems to be well liked. I also noticed that the Paradise Tower was the building of choice.

How is the North Tower? I have found room types H and I available for when I want to go. Would you recommend the North Tower?

As I understand it, the Breakers is in the think of it in town. What is within a few blocks of the Breakers?

Many thanks.... Paul

Breakers, North Tower?

A woman I work with goes to Myrtle Beach every Sept and stays at the Breakers-the Paradise Tower. She said DO NOT stay at the North Tower. She didn%26#39;t really say why but she said to avoid that one.

Breakers, North Tower?

I have stayed at the North Tower 3 or times over the last 9 years or so. It%26#39;s fine. It%26#39;s a bit of a walk to the Pavilion but a quick getaway by car to everything else.

I have stayed at the Breakers North Tower and would do so again... we loved it!

The Breakers north Tower is located around 27th street, (if memory serves me well) and the Paradise Bldg. is around 21st. The North Tower has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and kiddie pool. Guest at the North Tower are allowed to use the amenities at Paradise, 7 blocks south, where there is a much larger pool complex, including indoor pools.

We stayed in an F suite and it was very nice, clean and very spacious for a one-bedroom unit.

The hotel was quiet and relaxing, which is what we like. We have 4 children and our feeling is... the more to do, the more the children beg to do. We%26#39;re content with the beach during the day and doing activities, away from the resort, at night.

We did walk down to the Paradise one day and let the kids use the pools, it was impressive but crowded, although since it was a cool, cloudy day, everyone probably had the same idea.

Check out the amenities at both and decide what is right for you. I thought they were both conveniently located, as we drive most places. I can%26#39;t tell you what is around the strip area because we usually ventured out on Kings highway or Broadway at the Beach for dinner and shopping. The Paradise is higher in price. The North Tower is a little farther out of the %26#39;cruise zone%26#39; so it%26#39;s makes getting back to your hotel at night a little easier during peak seasons and weekends, although, 7 blocks probably doesn%26#39;t make much of a difference.

Have a great time.
