Hotel/Resort for couples?

My boyfriend and i are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach in May, and we%26#39;re looking for a hotel/resort that are relatively new or well-kept, suitable for couples, and have good location. Our price is somewhere between $70-120. Could anyone please give me some suggestions?

I have heard that Avista Resort is a good place to stay. It is a new hotel in N. Myrtle Beach, but it is not very close to all the action of Myrtle Beach. Depending on what week in May you are planning your trip, you may be able to get a rate in your price range at this hotel. Another consideration is Caribbean Resort and Villas. This is an older hotel but is ranked pretty high on this site and I%26#39;ve heard it is well kept and clean. My fiance and I are planning a honeymoon to Myrtle Beach in August and are planning on staying at this hotel. The prices are reasonable and it is close to Broadway at the Beach, shopping, etc. I%26#39;m not sure of your age, but some hotels require at least one person 25+ to reserve and stay at the hotel. However, for this resort, it is only 21+. Hope this helps and hope you have a good trip!!

dreamer06: thanks for your suggestions. I did a lot of research and finally settled on Carribean resort. I gave them a call and the reservations staff were very friendly (i talked to 3 different staff). They gave me a really good rate for 1-bedroom oceanfront suite for $78/night. I%26#39;m really excited about the trip and I%26#39;ll let you know more about the resort. :)
