Just looked at the weather forecast for Sat-Tues. In the 60%26#39;s - lows in the 40s - could that be possible for Myrtle this time of year??????????

Going this weekend - 60 degrees - could that be...

Unfortuntly we are expecting a cold front this weekend. Friday looks ok but Saturday and Sunday are in the 60%26#39;s. If it%26#39;s not raining but too cool for the beach, Brookgreen Gardens (south of Myrtle Beach on Highway 17) is beautiful this time of the year.

amysc - you seem to know the area - what%26#39;s the chance of this cold front escaping Myrtle???

My friend %26amp; I have planned this getaway weekend for months %26amp; just want to lay on the beach!!!!! We%26#39;re so bummed!

Francine- Just checked the latest weather and it%26#39;s not changing yet. Still chance of showers and cool on Saturday. Maybe the front will slow down and Saturday will be nice. I know you really want to lay on the beach but there are lots of fun places in MB to go if it is too cool for the beach.

thanks %26amp; I%26#39;m sure there%26#39;s plenty to do - the gardens look nice - I looked them up online. But it is disappointing since we were 1st planning to go to Scottsdale, AZ. Oh well,

Never being to Myrtle what do you suggest we look at for things to do - just ask the concierge at the hotel????

Francine, where are you staying? There is a great aquarium at Broadway at the Beach. Also, you may want to see who is playing at The House of Blues this weekend. If you don%26#39;t mind a short drive go to Georgetown (30 minutes to 45 minutes depending on where you are in MB) it is south on highway 17. Nice small waterfront historical area. A few good restaurants and shops.

If your renting a car Charlestons cool. They have a really cool ghost tour of all the haunted places. www.charlestonghosts.com or 1-800-729-3420 ITs a little over an hour to get there but its a good day trip.Sorry it will be cold for your trip lots to do in town also Ripleys museum,ripleys aquarium, ripleys 3d adventure, heard alligator adventure is fun also lots and lots of shopping.broadway at the beach ,the outlets.

Thanks for your concern -- but never have thought that it would be that cold in Mrytle Beach this time of year.
