Sandcastle South

I am thinking about staying at the Sandcastle South 1st or 2nd week in June. I have read a lot of reviews- some bad, some good. Most of these were in 2004. Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently? Any input on this one or another affordable hotel for family of 6.

If you go to there site they have a special on there suite for $79 a night, I am staying there in late June, I figured for the price it should be good, I have not been there before so I am trying to find out the same.

I%26#39;m staying with my family at the Sandcastle South this June. I really enjoyed my stay there a couple of years ago.

*ALL* rooms are OceanFront. Spacious rooms, lazy river, outdoor pool, hot tubs. They have a nice area that served burgers and hot dogs in the afternoon near the pool. The parking lot is covered so your car wont be overheated.

I love the fact that it%26#39;s situated about 1.5 - 2 miles from the main drag, so if you%26#39;re looking for a quieter accomodation, this place will meet your needs. You can always drive and park to get to the amusement parks or take the Lymo bus. I thought our room was fine and encountered no problems.

Right now they are having a ';May Manager%26#39;s Special'; but you must book by May 4th (Wednesday!). $79 a night for a suite is a great deal in my opinion. Even cheaper for other rooms. There may be better deals out there that others know about, but this is one I do know of after much research.
