We%26#39;ll be in Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks. Is the water warm enough for swimming yet?

Average ocean temps in May is 60-70 degrees.

How warm is the ocean?

It takes a while for the Ocean to warm up so it is still chilly even in late May, but swimming is not out of the question.

I would say you can swim because the weather will start warming up and the water will warm up too. So I would say go for it!!!!!
