Memorial Weekend

Any ladies interested in escorting/hanging-out-with 4 first-timers over Mem weekend? We%26#39;re going on a golf trip but want a day at the beach and some nightlife.... Our ages are 33-36 but we don%26#39;t mind if you%26#39;re in the 25-45 range. Just looking for fun and someone that knows where to go.

Memorial Weekend

Since you are a first timer... are you aware that Memorial Day weekend is the time of the popular Black Bike Festival?

Memorial Weekend

I was not aware of that.... The more the merrier - should be lots to do, right? I%26#39;m cool with the bikers - i%26#39;m not some stuffy tourist.

Just looking to have a good time, meet some people, and party a little... or a lot. Now I think I%26#39;ve gotten lucky with the weekend I%26#39;ve chosen.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated!

You might enjoy that weekend, but, thought you%26#39;d want to know it will be very crowded and lots of traffic controls -- some roads become one way only. Expect a lot of delays. Some businesses close b/c of past problems of Memorial Day Weekend. My cousin lives in MB, and this week is Harley week, it%26#39;s just started and she hates it already.

I hope you have a good time -- didn%26#39;t mean to discourage you -

just more info. to let you know what to expect. Hope you have a great time! Myrtle Beach is a lot of fun!

This is good information - would have otherwise been blindsided and probably missed a tee-time. Sounds like there will be plenty of people to hang out with at night and that%26#39;s kind of what we%26#39;re looking for after the rounds of golf. Guess I%26#39;d better pack the leather jacket.

We just left MB. It%26#39;s the Harley week now. They are expecting 300,000 bikers. It was wild and NOISY Monday. I can%26#39;t imagine what it will be like by the end of the week.

Memorial week will be the same only more so. The streets are one way in an effort to get the traffic flowing better. Also many of the eateries and the City are being sued because the NAACP and others feel like the black bikers are not treated as well as the white bikers. Many of the restaurants simply closed last year.

Great... sounds like it%26#39;s turning into ';Hell Week';... I%26#39;m guessing this won%26#39;t affect the golf very much - i%26#39;ll just have to hope for the best with everything else. Should be interesting if nothing else.

t ~ well keep in mind there are several topless bars in the MB area.... in case you don%26#39;t find what you are looking for.. hehe

And good luck with memorial day weekend... you couldn%26#39;t pay me to go there. If you are staying at a country club place though.. you should be good to go. Also go check out the nightlife at Broadway at the best... Ages down there range from 18 - to 80 ~ just drinking ~ dancing ~ and socializing.

Don%26#39;t know where you are staying, but if you can spend your time south of Broadway at the Beach, you might avoid some of the traffic and chaos of Black Biker Week. There are some great bars, restaurants and golf courses in the Surfside to Pawley%26#39;s Island area. I believe most of the worst congestion will be in the Downtown MB and North MB areas.

We will be in Surfside that weekend and will not venture north of there.

While in Surfside, be sure and try a restaurant/bar called Fat Jack%26#39;s across from Surfside Post Office. Great wings. Fine place to take the kids too. If you stay in the Surfside area, you will avoid most of the Bike Week Traffic that will be present Memorial Day weekend.
