What will the weather be like in August

We would be travelling from the west coast of Canada and are worried about what kind of weather we would be getting in Hilton Head mid August. We understand that is the rainiest month and that it falls in Hurricane season. Should we be planning our vacation elsewhere?

It%26#39;s would normally be HOT. There will be a sea breeze if you are on the beach. There may be afternoon thundershowers, but they don%26#39;t last long and it cools the air. I wouldn%26#39;t worry about hurricanes. There is little chance that one would give HH any trouble. It could happen, but it is not likely.

What will the weather be like in August

We regularly vaction there in August. Hot, humid with a very refreshing sea breeze. Very, very small chance of hurricane. Sports away from the ocean such as golf or tennis best played early in morning or late in day.
