Worse yet, I am trying to plan for June!!! Wifes orders...

My wife has decided work had driven her crazy and she wants to go to Myrtle beach to get away, I am in charge of arranging this. Oh, boy. We have a 3 yr old an 6 yr old, I am hoping to find a hotel that is clean and has swimming entertainment for the little ones, and wont cost an arm and a leg. Any ideas? I went thru 200 post and it seems most hotels in June are very expensive or very dirty.

We are going in early June with a 2 1/2 year old. Same thing, after checking MANY posts, we decided on Dayton House. Prices are reasonable, and all posts made it sound clean, etc. Not as many extras as some of the others, but for our little guy, just having a pool and a beach is enough.

Stay at the Long Bay Resort. Cheap prices, clean rooms, lazy river, tons of activites, pools jacuzzis etc.

Don%26#39;t take my word for it, go check out the comments on the Long Bay Resort yourself

Thanks for the replies!! I have it narrowed down to sea crest, the avista, long bay, and dayton house

Feel like Im shopping for a house

We stayed at the sea crest it is a nice clean family hotel.if you have any questions let me know I will help.have a good trip.

Can you change her mind about Myrtle Beach? Hilton Head is SO much nicer!!

If you must go to Myrtle Beach, try North Myrtle or Garden City. Unless you like REALLY touristy places, you won%26#39;t be happy in Myrtle Beach.

Try the Affordable Family Resort if you don%26#39;t mind being across the street from the ocean. They have waterslides for your 6yr old and a great kiddie pool and slide for the little one. Nice family suites.

The best way to find affordable in Myrtle Beach is not to stay oceanfront. Condo rentals by owner abound and we have one for rent 1 block from the beach with lots of amenities. I agree with a previous poster who suggests other areas of Myrtle to stay in other than the downtown area. There are quieter, less congested areas to stay without sacrificing any of the areas attractions. There is lots to do with your children and you won%26#39;t necessarily have to spend an arm and a leg especially if fair weather prevails as it tends to in June.

We took at 3 yr old and a 6 yr old last year in June and of course my wife made me do the same thing and we stayed at the Beach Colony Resort. The kids had fun and it wasnt very crowded area but you are just seconds away from all the excitment!!!!! It might not have a mushroom for kids to pplay in but they loved it anyway

take my advice and stay at the Beach Colony resort!!!

Go to www.beachcolony.com To find anything out

I feel sorry for you bud LOL

Thanks for all the repies. I narrowed down to the 4 and said, dear you choose the one you want, lol Believe it or not, she made a decision. She wanted the Sea crest. Her reasoning, she like what it had to offer for the kids and price and it was close to most things, at least it appeared to us that it was close to most things. We dont like having to find parking all the time, especially since we drive a tank(expedition). Will let you guys know about our stay once its over, and thanks again for the help!

sweetiepie? I just read some bad reviews on the sea crest? Im getting cold feet now, I have a run down dirty hotel pictured after reading recent reviews. Im starting to wonder if Ocean Reef is a cleaner hotel.
