Atlantic Biker week? Mem Day Weekend...any info

We were planning on going to NMB starting on Memorial day, May 30th, and staying the week for a beach vacation (1yr old, 2 yr old, and 4 yr old) It wasn%26#39;t until I started checking around that I found out that the whole weekend is Atlantic Biker fest (or something like that). A few questions---does Biker fest really END on the 30th or does it continue on through the week? Also, if it continues, should we consider going somewhere else due to the ages of our kids? We are considering staying at the new Avista resort. Any input would be helpful. THANKS!

We spent 10 nights at the Avista in March. They have lots of work to do before it%26#39;s done. Indoor pool area was done enough so you could use the pool but didn%26#39;t look inviting yet. The washer/dryer combo in our unit was ';awful';. I have no idea where they thought it would be better than a normal washer and dryer combo. I would not stay there again until the entire place is completed. Our housekeeping service was not good either. Soap was not replace daily and we actually had to request clean bedding after 5 nights.

Atlantic Beach Biker Festival ends on tht 31st. Very few of them stick around past that date. I stayed at the Avista and it was wonderful. I wrote a review.

this might help you understanding this festival. The 13th thru the 22nd is Harley Bike Week.

The bikers clear out pretty quickly. My recommendation is to stay at a resort that doesn%26#39;t book the ';biker crowds'; - I know this may sound incredibly conservative, but we stay at Nautical Watch and they do not allow bikers, even during bike week. This place clearly serves the family set and seeks to keep things quiet. Even though, we%26#39;ve heard of people being there for bike week and not having any problems. NMB gets some bikers but the majority are in MB - worst I%26#39;ve heard is traffic issues.
