Where to stay?

My family has stayed several times at the Breeze View Motel at 2601 N. Ocean Blvd. which has subsequently closed. We loved the location and the family atmosphere and are looking to stay somewhere near there. I am coming in July with my 2 sisters and their 2 daughters and this will be their first time visiting MB. I want them to enjoy themselves as much as I have in the past. We are looking for somewhere with kitchen facilities and at least 2 queen beds. Any recommendations. We were going to stay at the Court Capri, but have been scared off by the reviews.

Where to stay?

DONT STAY AT THE COURT CAPRI!!!!!

We stayed there once and it was a disaster.

Practically ruined our whole trip.

But in their defence that was 4 years ago.

Where to stay?

I would suggest the Sandy Beach Resort. It%26#39;s located just far enough south of the Pavilion area to avoid most of the traffic and noise. The rooms in the Magnolia building are nice, spacious, have kitchens and are all oceanfront. The hotel has multiple pools, hot tubs and a small lazy river. The lazy river, one pool and one hot tub are under the building if you want to seek shelter from the sun in the middle of the day. Navigating from here is a breeze without ever having to get on Hwy 17, 501 or Ocean Blvd you can go almost anywhere and avoid the traffic. There is a convenience store across the street, Family Kingdom amusement park across the street, the areas only oceanfront water park next door, some dining options within easy walking distance and 2nd Ave. Pier is a very short walk on the beach. We%26#39;ve stayed here many times over the last few years and have enjoyed every stay. Families and couples only.

As a South Carolinian and the mom of three,I have to tell you to check out oceanlakes campground .They have lots of rentals from campers to luxury homes. Its like home away from home. The kids activities are great .On site pools alongswith great lifeguards, putt put ,daily poolgames, shell hunts, they even had their own version of survivor last year! { my husband won the hula-hoop contest} hehehe. You cruz the gated community in a golf carts .You still have to jump in your car for the other great stuff Myrtle Beach has to offer ,but when traveling with kids ,This place seems to keep everybody happy .Moms can relax and the kids can%26#39;t pick what to do first.

We have stayed at Nautical Watch (www.beachcombervactions.com) 4515 South Ocean Boulevard - sleeps 6 / 2 queen beds plenty of room. Pictures available on line.

Have nothing but great things to say about this place - its right across rt 17 from Barefoot Landing - good luck.
