Lighthouse Motel near 2nd Avenue Pier and pet friendly

Anybody know anything about this motel? I am desperatly searching for a pet friendly hotel for July. I just found out that the hotel we always stay in the summer with our dog is no longer accepting pets during the summer months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are asking do they take pets?Yes they do.Just inquire when you get a quote.I think the shonner building allows pets.

I would suggest you stay anywhere but the lighthouse motel. I stayed there before with my pet a few years ago and it was a very big let down. It was very unkept. The furnature looked old and nawed. Stained beds, house keeping was terrible. No dishes or anything of that nature. They told me they had renevated too HA. The only good thing was the peir and the floors are tiled in some rooms so it%26#39;s easier to clean and not stained or dirty carpet. Hope this helps.

I have 2 small terriers and they travel with our family quite often. Some hotels that I have used when taking our dogs are some Holiday Inns, Candlewood Suites, La Quinta and Red Roof Inns are just a few that I know of..

Another site:(www.hikewithyourdog.com) for where you can take your dogs to the beach(example: Before Memorial day, After Labor Day, after 6pm, or all summer long on some state park beaches), is great to know also. We took out two terriers to Virginia Beach last summer and took them to First Landing State Park to the beach between 9am and 6pm, they loved it.. The beach wasnt clean enough for me, plus no lifeguards; but I took them for a treat.

Theres also a site called ';www.petswelcome.com'; where you can select US Hotel/Motel listings from the home page and then plug in the state and then city where you want to stay.. I dont know anything about the hotels/motels listed there, but you can check the user reviews on them in Myrtle Beach forums first before making reervations...

Thanks Phillyeaglesfan. I%26#39;ve found a few othe hotels at the beach that accept pets, Affordable Family Resort, The Mariner, Compass Cove. We would like to be on the beach or accross the street. We always take our dog and he loves it.

Did you try www.funbeaches.com they have a pet friendly accomodations list.also I think the south wind takes pets and it is brand new and a really nice resort.

Try www.retreatmyrtlebeach.com They offer pet friendly condos and beachhouses.
