me and my friends are thinking of going to myrtle beach in august and are wondering what would be a good hotel that is not to expensive (under $150/night), that is on the beach and near the nightlife.

If you go in late august all the hotels have good prices I am going week of 22nd and have a reservation at sandy beach resort for 10 days for 950.00. It is close to everything and oceanfront.

ps ask for magnolia building.

sounds like you got a great deal. but we are going the first weekend in august. hopefully the rates will be going down by then.
