I think the reviews are mixed. Did you check (on this page) to the left Myrtle Beach hotels, I think there are some reviews there. I have a relative who stayed at Long Bay, she loved it. I hope this helps.

Myrtle beach resort questions

The Myrtle Beach Resort is a very nice resort. I have heard mixed reviews too, but I decided to check it out myself about 1 month ago and I loved it. I would stay there because it is really nice!!!!!!!!!

HAVE FUN ON YOUR TRIP!!!!! :)~

I%26#39;ve driven a taxi cab here for 20 years, dispatched for taxi%26#39;s here 5 years and went back to driving one last year. I like Myrtle Beach Resort but have never been inside the tower, I do however like the OTHER Condos they have there. Of course Myrtle Beach Resort is actually located in Surfside Beach and if there is no traffic it takes about 15 minutes to drive to myrtle beach from there. Long Bay Resort is at 72nd Ave North. The Pavillion Amusement Park is at 8th %26amp; 9th North and Broadway at the Beach is between 21st %26amp; 29th North. Either way you have a good drive to the popular places to go and neither of them are places where crack heads hang out so personally I%26#39;d go with the one where I could stay longer

Thanks to those of who have replied. I am still up in the air about what to do. I do not mind a drive to whatever attractions. I just want a decent place to stay at.

Any other comments will be appreciated

Thanks

We stay at Ocean Creek Resort, it is right across the street from Barefoot landing which is shops and restaurants, Broadway at the Beach is about a 15-20 minute drive depending on traffic. It is a 57 acre resort, no lazy river, several pools. Any questions just ask Hope this helps.

Hi Cheermom6488,

Well i said it befor and will will say it again, Myrtle Beach Resort is by far the best place to stay in Myrtle Beach. My wife and i have been going to Myrtle Beach for 20 years with the last 15 years at Myrtle Beach Resort. Please check out there web site www.Myrtle Beach Resort.com and check out all they have to offer and also you should E-Mail the condo owner and have him E-Mail you some pitures of his condo so you can check it out.

I also have reservations at the MBR the first week of July. I too was very skeptical after reading some of the reviews. I have spent many hours on the www researching, but it is just overwhelming. I also found the pricing to be better at MBR - I am in one of the other buildings (not the tower). I looked at individual unit photos on www.vrbo.com - tried to find a photo of my unit, but couldn%26#39;t. The MBR website is not real informative. I rented through TAN (Travel Advantage Network) using a friend%26#39;s account, but I know if you rent directly through the owner - they are usually better kept and cheaper.

I continue to check this site for more info. I will be happy to post something after my trip.

Anyone know how long of a drive it is from Charleston to MB? The price of flights is considerably cheaper to fly into Charleston rather than to MB. I think it is only about 80 miles or so.........

I asked the same question about the Charleston Drive and I believe it was 2 hours. It is posted here somewhere.

About 2 hours drive from Charleston depending on traffic.
