Long Bay Resort week of June 13 ??? With a 4yo??

We are going to be staying at Long Bay Resort the week of June 13 , 2005. What can you tell me about Long Bay Resort ? Is it in a good location ? Is the pool area nice (esp. for my 4yo ?) ? Is the hotel nice ? Beach nice in that area ? How far is it from all the attractions ?

We have booked an oceanfront efficency on the first floor.

Thanks for any help you can give me. It%26#39;s still not too late to change my reservations. The reviews looked pretty good on here, and the website looked good.............but I would like to hear some first hand experiences.

Haven%26#39;t stayed there but a friend of mine said it was nice. I recommend the River City Cafe (it is really close to long bay) for very good and cheap burgers! With a 4 year old I would definitely recommend a trip to Broadway at the Beach and the Ripley%26#39;s Aquarium (a little pricey, but well worth it!)

My family stayed at the Long Bay Resort, two summer ago and really liked the resort. We stayed in the building that had the 3 bedroom condos. We had our own pool and parking was under the building, which made it great to carry beach things. Your 4 year old will love all the pools, including the mushroom one. The only downside that we had was the crowds. We went in July and the hotel was very crowded, as was the beach.

The resort is kept very clean and so were the areas around the pools. The on-site restuarant is expensive and I also recommend the River City Cafe, as it is much cheaper and you can easily walk to it from the hotel. The beach is ok but I have found going farther south, makes for a much less crowded area, if you are looking for something that is not so crowded. We have booked the Oceanfront Hampton, this summer, where the beaches are not so overrun with people. Check it out, as it is rated the No. 1 resort in all of Myrtle.

thanks !!

I am still looking at hotels ! I just cannot make up my mind. So far the long bay looks pretty good as far as swimming pools, my only concern is the parking garage as some have said it is loud. Any comments ? Thanks !
