Purchasing alcohol

I believe that different US states have different regulations about purchasing alcohol, and that some are even %26#39;dry%26#39;.

Are there any particular rules on Fripp Island? Here in England we can buy beer, wine and spirits at out local supermarket.

TIA,

Steph

Steph,

Fripp is a private island connected to the rest of South Carolina by a bridge. South Carolina supermarkets and liquor stores are allowed to sell alcohol Monday through Saturday, 9a.m. to 7p.m. Nothing can be sold on Sunday (but you can still buy a drink at a restaurant on Sunday, isn%26#39;t that funny?) On Fripp itself I believe the only place to buy alcohol to take home is at the little shop on the second story of the building by the marina (not the restaurant). It has some beer and wine.

Although some states restrict alcohol sales on Sunday and there are some town/munipicalites or whatever that are dry, you can buy alcohol in all states, although Utah is pretty dry.

I hope this came in time for your trip and that it turns out to be accurate!

In South Carolina they make it easy for would-be liquor buyers. Most package stores have big red dots painted on the side of the building!
